Interview with Tommy Ytterström from Pro&Pro, Official Partner of the Bünsow Business Growth Forum.
Why did you choose to partner with the Bünsow Business Growth Forum?
– As a management consultancy, we work to support companies in their growth journey. Bünsow is all about growth and entrepreneurship so it fits very well with our passion to help companies and people succeed. Then, of course, we want to contribute to the development of our society and Bünsow drives issues related to development and growth in our region.
What do you think are the key success factors for growth?
– For a region to grow, there must be a number of strong business leaders who are engines of business development and society. This also applies to us at Pro & Pro, which is a management company and will compete with the established management companies from the metropolitan regions, so it is important to be able to attract strong and driving business leaders. People who can take on complex challenges.
How do you go about finding these people?
– We work nationally for both students and professionals. We must be able to provide at least the same opportunities for development as companies in the big cities. Talent never flies to you, it takes hard work! We have developed several concepts to attract young people: the Bright Minds student program, summer internships and trainee programs, all focusing on national students.
This year’s theme at Bünsow was Let’s meet the Challenge, do you have any tips in addition to those discussed at this year’s forum?
– The biggest challenge we have is to attract talent from outside, but we also need to work to keep our young people here and ensure that more of them move back after studying in other cities. I believe that it is not enough to “just” offer a job, but we must also be able to meet the ambition and needs of today’s young people, because like Fredrik Bünsow, the talents have high ambitions.
