Interview with the HR-Director Stina Danielsson from SCA who are Principal partners of Bünsow Business Growth Forum, and Official Partner of Unga Bünsow.
What do you think about this year’s theme?
– This year’s theme is important and urgent. It is good that it is discussed in a context like Bünsow, at a meeting place for the business community. Here we can get together to discuss how we as companies can contribute in various ways in the new world situation we find ourselves in. New business directions but also approaches in challenging and troubled times.
How has SCA adapted to the current security situation in the forest industry and what measures are being taken to ensure sustainable growth?
– We follow national recommendations and work closely with Svenskt Näringsliv and our industry and management organizations. SCA’s forest holdings and industry are primarily located in Sweden, which means that we have both feedstocks and industry in Sweden, which increases our and Sweden’s resilience regarding bio-based products.
How do you think your presence at the Bünsow Business Growth Forum can contribute to both your own and the region’s growth?
– By coming together, networking, and gaining new knowledge through inspiring speakers, we become stronger regionally and can better mobilize our efforts on important issues.
What opportunities and challenges does SCA see ahead?
– SCA is already making a major contribution to the climate transition by providing no less than 12.8 million tons of carbon dioxide climate benefit in 2023 itself! We see great opportunities to contribute even more, but this assumes that we also get the right political conditions, both at the Swedish and EU level. The geopolitical situation is of course a challenge that we have to deal with, but also challenges in the EU area.
What do you appreciate most about your work at SCA?
– Being able to work for a company where there is an opportunity to constantly develop and be part of the green transition for real.
