Henrik Andersson
CFO, Cinis FertilizerHenrik Andersson is CFO of greentech company Cinis Fertilizer AB since 2021. The company has been listed on First North Growth Market since 2022, with a market capitalization of around SEK 3 billion. Henrik has an economics degree from Lund University and over 20 years of experience from various financial roles within the Tetra Pak Group at both group, market and product company level. Both in Sweden and abroad. He is now a key figure in Cinis Fertilizer’s development from a start-up to a publicly traded company with a billion-dollar valuation in less than five years.
Cinis Fertilizer’s business model is based on the circular economy. By taking residues from battery manufacturers and the pulp and paper industry and turning them into mineral fertilizers, resources are made more efficient and carbon emissions are reduced. Mineral fertilizers bring enormous benefits to agriculture and society. Production is done with fossil-free energy and the energy requirement is half that of the technology that currently dominates the industry. The founder and CEO of the company, Jacob Liedberg, saw opportunities to solve the waste issue and circularity for traditional industries while reducing carbon emissions from agriculture. Soon we can see his idea realized. Production of potassium sulphate will start in early 2024.
Cinis Fertilizer is currently building its first plant in Köpmanholmen, just outside Örnsköldsvik. Future facilities are planned to be built in Skellefteå and Hopkinsville, USA.
