Heidi Schauman

Global Head of Research, Danske Bank

As Global Head of Analytics at Danske Bank, Heidi Schauman leads the bank’s macro, currency, interest rate and credit analysis. Danske Bank has more than 40 analysts in this area spread across all Nordic countries.

Before joining Danske Bank in 2021, Heidi worked as Chief Economist at first Aktia Bank and then Swedbank in Finland. She has also worked as a senior economist at Nordea. Heidi also spent eight years at the Bank of Finland, the central bank of Finland, preparing monetary policy in various roles. Heidi holds a PhD in economics from Hanken, the Swedish School of Economics in Helsinki, and completed her PhD in 2006 on the topic of labor market matching. Heidi is Finnish-Swedish and has Helsinki as her fixed point in a life that otherwise takes place in all the Nordic countries.
