Bodil Hansson

Chairman of the Municipal Board, Municipality of Sundsvall

Bodil Hansson has been Chair of the Municipal Board of Sundsvall Municipality since 2020. The Sundsvall region is currently facing enormous opportunities and challenges as industry makes major investments that will create jobs for generations to come. Sundsvall works with other municipalities in the region to create sustainable growth in our region.

She has a degree and a Ph. kand. in rehabilitation science and chose the political path early on. First union work, as an ombudsman within Seko and then as the first ombudsman for the Social Democrats in Västernorrland. Then municipal politics took over. As vice chair of the municipal board, she has been involved in Sundsvall’s development issues, where the decision to build the logistics park can be seen as a milestone. She is a deputy member of the Executive Committee of the Social Democrats, and since 2020 she has been Chair of the Municipal Board of Sundsvall.
