Interview with Emil Westelind from Westerlinds, Official Partner of the Bünsow Business Growth Forum.
Westerlinds is a real estate company that owns, manages and develops properties in southern Norrland. In our portfolio we have about 30 properties in Härnösand, Örnsköldsvik and Umeå and about 10 new production projects in southern Norrland. During the summer, the two family-owned real estate companies Nordiska Centrumhus (Dahlberg family) and Westerlinds (Westerlind family) merged to create the “new” Westerlinds. Together we will be a bigger and stronger real estate player in this region, where we want to be an active and contributing partner for continued growth.
What is most important in your growth journey ahead?
– That the municipalities, the County Administrative Board and other actors in this region see the opportunities now available, are on their toes and create the conditions for growth in northern Sweden. It’s a unique opportunity we have right now with all that is happening around electrification, the defense industry and sustainable industrial initiatives.
Why has Westerlinds chosen to become an Official Partner of the Bünsow Business Growth Forum?
– As the merger makes us a much bigger player, our area of activity will also grow. It requires a broader network and a broader view of what is happening in the North. We hope that the Bünsow Business Growth Forum can help us with that.
What are you most looking forward to about this year’s Forum on 12 October?
– All nice, useful and good meetings that we hope to have during the Bünsow Business Growth Forum. It is important that the schedule allows for these meetings.
