Christer Edblad has a degree in Business Administration from Stockholm University and recently completed his academic CV with a degree in Executive Leadership at the Stockholm School of Economics.
He started his journey at Agtira as CFO and acting CEO in early summer 2022. He previously worked as Finance Director at Mondi Dynäs in Kramfors, a company in the paper and packaging industry owned by the international Mondi Group, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Headquartered in Härnösand, Sweden, Agtira has quickly become a well-known company in the food industry, redefining the concept of locally grown to home-grown. By developing growing systems for vertical and indoor cultivation in urban environments, Agtira creates food production close to its consumers.
Last spring, the company opened the world’s first greenhouse with vertically grown cucumbers at ICA Maxi in Birsta outside Sundsvall. This winter, a facility for growing cucumbers, tomatoes and salmon will be inaugurated in Östersund. In 2023, a large greenhouse will be built in Haninge, Stockholm, making Sweden’s largest ICA store completely self-sufficient in cucumbers. The interest in Agtira’s system and business model (FAAS) is very high and the company is now in an expansive phase.
