
With nearly four decades at Atlas Copco, Mats Rahmström has built a career that reflects long-term leadership, international experience and a passion for developing both people and businesses. As CEO and board member between 2017 and 2024, he led the Group through a period of global expansion, technological innovation and strong profitability.
Mats began his journey at Atlas Copco back in 1988 and has since held a number of leadership roles around the world, from Canada and the United Kingdom to several business areas within the Group. His deep understanding of industrial solutions and customer-centric innovations has been key to the company’s success.
Today, he is Chairman of the Board of PIAB and a board member of ABB, Investor and SKF, as well as a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA).
