Rebecka Carlsson

Sustainability entrepreneur and climate expert

Rebecka Carlsson is a sustainability entrepreneur, business developer and one of Sweden’s most hired speakers on sustainable transition and exponential technology. With experience from politics, business and international research, she helps organizations understand how technological development interacts with climate challenges and how business models can be built to create long-term change. Rebecka has been recognized as one of Sweden’s future female leaders by Ledarna and has been listed as one of Sweden’s 101 super talents by Veckans Affärer. Through her ability to combine visionary thinking with concrete tools, she offers a perspective that not only inspires, but shows how transition can actually happen in practice.

Rebecka has been a political expert to Sweden’s Minister of Climate and Environment and participated in the preparatory work of the Paris Agreement. She has started several sustainability-driven companies and is currently the founder of Heureka Ventures, an agency that works with strategic business development for companies at the interface between technology and sustainability. She is also a graduate of NASA’s Singularity University, an intensive program that trains entrepreneurs from around the world to use technologies such as AI, robotics and biotechnology to solve global problems.

As a lecturer, Rebecka has supported everything from global corporations to fast-growing startups and public actors in how to think long-term, innovative and sustainable. She is also the author of the book Exponential Climate Transition, which combines current research with practical examples of how business can take leadership in the transition that is now underway.
