Lars Eklund

Group CEO and co founder of Sunds Fibertech AB

Lars Eklund is a senior executive with a strong global track record in sales leadership, service operations, and business growth across the pulp, paper, and panelboard industries. With more than 30 years of experience, he has led large international organizations, driven profitable expansion, and built high‑performing teams worldwide.

Since 2017, Lars has served as Group CEO and co‑founder of Sunds Fibertech AB, leading the company’s development and strategic direction from its base in Timrå, Sweden. Sunds Fibertech is today a company with 11 offices in 8 countries, with a turnover of 440 MSEK (2025).

Prior to Sunds Fibertech, Lars held several senior global roles at Valmet and Metso, where he developed deep expertise in global service business management, including responsibility for P&L, R&D, production, application engineering, and sales.

Lars is an Electrical Engineer with a MBA from Aalto University, Finland.
