
Sofia Thunberg – Postdoctoral researcher
Sofia Thunberg holds a PhD in Cognitive Science and works as a postdoctoral researcher at Chalmers University of Technology, where she conducts research in human-robot interaction. Through her work, she has led several innovative projects, including the development of companion robots for healthcare, social robots in public environments and autonomous trucks in warehouses.
Her research is strongly focused on understanding how technological advances affect us as humans, both at the individual level and in society at large. Sofia is particularly interested in the ethical and gender equality challenges that arise as robots and AI become an increasing part of our lives. She highlights the opportunities and risks we face when introducing these technologies in different societal functions, and emphasizes the importance of creating fair and ethically sustainable solutions.
