This year’s Bünsow Business Growth Forum has offered insightful conversations, new collaborations and strong confidence in the future. Project leaders Maria Åslin and Olivia Åsberg share their thoughts and highlight what they think was particularly successful during this year’s forum. Here are their reflections and highlights from Bünsow 2024.
Anything in particular you are proud of or think was extra successful?
“I am extremely proud of the great commitment we have around Bünsow. The fact that we have so many committed partners from the business community, municipalities, the region and Mid Sweden University creates strength and continuity for our future efforts to lift Bünsow and our region. It is also very valuable that the municipality of Sundsvall has chosen Bünsow as one of its strategic partners and entered into a three-year cooperation agreement, which provides the conditions for working more strategically with development. Looking at this year’s forum, I am pleased that we had the courage to raise difficult conversations about complex issues relating to northern Sweden’s geopolitical situation linked to the prevailing world situation. Talking about the difficult and complex is important. As for this year’s Unga Bünsow, it was gratifying to see the development from the premiere last year. A greater commitment from both the student associations and the employers, together with a great project team, resulted in a real success. Finally, I am of course very proud of our entire team working with Bünsow Week. Everything from our project and steering groups to our partners in sound and light, project managers, the congress office and of course Bryners at City Hall, who are fabulously good at making the day work on site. Now we will rest for a few days, but after the weekend it is time to start work on next year’s forum. Anything in particular you are proud of or think was extra successful?
“Now that some time has passed since this year’s Bünsow Week and I have had time to digest all the impressions, I feel incredibly proud. For Unga Bünsow, we took several steps in the right direction this year. We got new partners, the stage program had a common thread and the employers were prepared, with awesome stands and well thought-out job offers. One of the best things about the year has also been to see the involvement of the student associations Sundekon and Mytec, which have really grown during the year and it has been so incredibly fun to do it together with them. When I look back on Bünsow Business Growth Forum, I am proud that we dared to be brave, try new things and concepts this year to turn the format. And that we had the privilege of working with several competent, committed people in the Bünsow team who have really enriched my year. With that said, I would like to thank everyone who is involved in Bünsow in various ways with the aim of making our region grow.
