Anders Sundström is a skilled political entrepreneur who has played a central role in the development of society in northern Sweden through significant contributions in politics, academia and business. He began his political career in 1980 as a municipal councillor in Piteå municipality and has since held the positions of Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister for Employment. He also has a background as CEO of Folksam and Chairman of Swedbank.
Anders Sundström’s involvement in the business world has always been strong with significant board assignments in a number of local and international companies and organizations. Today he is an advisor to both Northvolt and H2 Green Steel, two major projects in which he has been involved from the start. He is also a member of SCA’s Board of Directors. Anders Sundström is an important force in a number of business initiatives of great importance for the transformation of society and industry in northern Sweden.
