Nordea’s Chief Economist Annika Winsth started her career at the Ministry of Finance. She then moved to Nordea, where she soon became Chief Analyst, and in 2008 she was appointed Chief Economist. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Lund University, as well as on the Board of the Swedish Institute of International Affairs and the Hans Dalborg Foundation for Banking and Finance Research.
Annika Winsth is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences and in 2012 she was named “Banking Profile of the Year” by the magazine Privata Affärer with the motivation “Few can explain complex economics in such a pedagogical way”. In 2018, she was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Lund University School of Economics.
