Carl the bodyguard – Bodyguard author
Carl had a flourishing sporting career ahead of him. But rheumatoid arthritis put an end to his dream and he chose to train as a bodyguard abroad instead.
As a bodyguard, Carl lived a life that could be compared to Hollywood movie. For 10 years, he protected politicians, royalty, diplomats, artists and business leaders all over the world. After many years in London, Carl left the hectic life of a bodyguard for a quieter life back home in Sweden. When he finally decided to move back home, he was brutally attacked, shot and had acid thrown over his face.
Despite the serious injuries, Carl managed to recover and has resumed his life, but the attack changed his outlook on life. He has learnt to turn negative experiences into motivators and now uses his experiences to help others. Since the attack, Carl has worked with shelters, and women’s shelters and as a security advisor for companies and organizations.
His ability to overcome adversity and turn his perspective around has given him strength in the most challenging situations. Through his story, he shows that it is always possible to find a way forward. His story has made him one of the most booked inspirational speakers right now.
