Interview with Marlene Berg, Head of Communications at Mid Sweden University and Key Partner of Unga Bünsow
With the second edition of Unga Bünsow approaching, why is the event an important forum for Mid Sweden University?
– Unga Bünsow is a great opportunity for our students to realise how many exciting employers our local area has to offer. It is not always easy as a student to keep track of what job opportunities are available here, both as an incoming student, but also if you come from here from the beginning. Therefore, it is a golden opportunity to make new contacts or just get inspiration for life after studies. We at Mid Sweden University are very proud of the great partnerships we have with employers, something that both strengthens us as a university and also shows that we have relevant programs that employers demand.
You are involved in the project team with our partners and line associations Sundekon and Mytec. How has the co-operation worked so far and what developments have taken place this year?
– The co-operation works very well and there is a huge commitment from all parties. Everyone sees the great benefits and that Unga Bünsow can really create meaningful meetings. Meetings that in many cases can actually be the start of a new path in the student’s life and a new top recruitment for an employer. We got a lot of inspiration and development ideas last year, both from conversations we had with visitors, but also from the survey responses that came in. The majority were very satisfied with the concept even then, but of course, there are always things to tweak when it comes to events to make it run smoothly and to ensure that there is enough time in the program for all the exciting meetings.
You also got a sneak peek at this year’s program, what can employers and students expect?
– Lots of inspiration, new ideas and exciting perspectives on what is actually possible!
If you could name three words that describe how you want participants to feel when they leave the Town Hall after this year’s Unga Bünsow on 8 October, what would you say?
– Inspired, excited and with new ideas.
