Interview with Magdalena Persson, MAQS Advokatbyrå, who is Partner to Bünsow Business Growth Forum
What inspired you at MAQS to become Partners of Bünsow Business Growth Forum?
– Bünsow is an important meeting place for regional, national, and international business. Being a partner in such a meeting place is MAQS Advokatbyrå’s way of contributing to the forum’s continued development .
This year’s theme for the Bünsow Business Growth Forum is very topical. How do you think it relates to the challenges and opportunities you see in business law right now?
– “Northern Sweden in the world” is an excellent description of what is going on in our region now. The business investments being made in Timrå, Sundsvall, Härnösand and Ånge are engaging many. This in turn activates the need for business law and highlights how our advice can simplify complex transactions. The fact that MAQS has one of its offices in Sundsvall is a sign of our commitment to what is happening here.
EKN, Knaust, and MAQS will host the event this year. What can participants expect from this event, and what motivated you to take on this role?
– When we enter as partners, we want to do so in an active and forward-looking way. The theme of the event “Opportunities and challenges for successful international trade in northern Sweden” we have chosen to tie in with Bünsow’s main programme – and at the same time invite reflections on how trade between different countries and cultures can create opportunities, but also on how we can prevent the challenges that may arise. Our stage programme will include discussion and QA sessions exploring how international trade can continue to develop safely and securely, and how investments and new investors in northern Sweden can create opportunities for businesses and people.
What are you most looking forward to at this year’s Bünsow Business Growth Forum, both professionally and personally?
– Being inspired by and contributing to conversations about business in our region through our event with EKN and Knaust. And then the meetings with entrepreneurs, academics, cultural figures and politicians – for me, that is the essence of Bünsow.
