Susanne Najafi has founded several e-commerce and tech companies, including Eleven – one of the largest online retailers of beauty products in the Nordic region. At 32, she had a turnover of over 100 million and has been named one of Sweden’s most powerful tech investors. With the venture capital company BackingMinds, she challenges traditional venture capital and proves that you can generate returns while driving change. As a board member, she has been involved in companies such as Transfer Galaxy, Glitter, Stockmann and Lindex.
Backing Mind’s investment idea is to challenge the “blind spots” of traditional venture capital by investing in companies that are often overlooked by investors. BackingMinds has received the Spotlight Award from the Diversity Impact Awards and Susanne Najafi has been recognized with awards such as Sweden’s foremost serial entrepreneur by Dagens Industri, Leader of the Year, Sweden’s Top 40 under 40 and one of the most powerful women in business by Veckans Affärer. She has also received the Pioneer of the Year award from His Royal Highness for her work in democratizing venture capital.
