On 9 October, we will experience something truly special! Members of the ensemble from the beloved musical Kristina från Duvemåla will provide the evening’s entertainment.
The musical, written by Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus and Lars Rudolfsson and based on Vilhelm Moberg’s classic novel series Utvandrarna (The Emigrants), is a story about strength, identity and the dream of freedom. Since its premiere in Malmö in 1995, the musical has been seen by almost 1.5 million people, and songs such as Du måste finnas and Guldet blev till sand have become modern classics.
In 2025, Kristina från Duvemåla will be performed again, a co-production between Teater Västernorrland, Musik Västernorrland and Sundsvall Municipality, premiering at Tonhallen, Sundsvall on 18 October.
