Where the skills of the future meet the region’s opportunities
The key to our region’s continued growth is for businesses and organisations to succeed in attracting and recruiting the right talent. Civil engineers, economists, business graduates and computer scientists from Mid Sweden University are a vital part of the future supply of skilled labour.
Unga Bünsow emerged as an extension of the Bünsow Business Growth Forum, sharing the same values of collaboration, growth and optimism about the future, but with a full focus on students. We recognised the need for a dedicated platform where students and employers could meet at the right time, with the right expectations and a shared focus on the future.
One day in October, we bring together around 200 students and 40 employers in a setting where relationships are forged at an early stage and where the region’s future talent is given a natural place in our growth initiatives. The day combines an exclusive programme of talks featuring external speakers and representatives from regional businesses with one-to-one meetings where dialogue takes centre stage. What makes Unga Bünsow particularly valuable is that every participating employer offers at least two concrete job opportunities in the form of graduation projects, work placements, trainee positions, part-time jobs, summer jobs, mentoring and permanent roles. This gives students real opportunities to make contacts and explore future career paths.
